Cai Shen, the God of Wealth, is the figure families invite into the house at Chinese New Year in the hope that he brings good fortune with him. XE88 turned him into a slot. The festive look is obvious, but nothing about the game is seasonal: it spins the same in July as it does on the first day of CNY.
What sits on the God of Wealth reels
The layout is five reels of three symbols, framed by red lanterns and a temple roof with the title 財神到 ("the God of Wealth has arrived") across the top. The symbols are what you would expect at a reunion dinner table:
- Cai Shen himself, in his red-and-gold robe
- red 發 (prosperity) tiles, plus a darker blue version
- square-holed gold coins and green jade pendants
- a red drum, strings of firecrackers and two children holding red packets
- the lion-dance head, marked SCATTER
Above the reels sit three jackpot meters labelled Major, Random and Minor. The screenshots show them at different values on each visit, which is what you would expect from pooled jackpots that grow as people play. The page never explained how a jackpot is won, so treat them as a bonus you cannot plan for.
How the stake is set
Two controls decide what each spin costs. LINE picks how many of the nine lines are active, and LINES BET sets the stake per line. The total is simply one times the other: 9 lines at 10 each shows a total bet of 90, and 9 lines at 5 shows 45. AUTO PLAY repeats the same spin until you stop it.
With fewer lines switched on, a spin is cheaper but a matching row on an inactive line pays nothing. Most players keep all nine on and change the line bet instead.
The lion-dance scatter
Scatters pay or trigger features wherever they land, not only along a line. In the second screenshot two lion heads sit side by side on reels four and five. The old guide did not say how many are needed for a feature, and we have not guessed. Check the paytable (the menu button) before you play for real.
