Takers (XE88): a bank-job slot where the money bag is wild

The story takes one line: you and your partner are halfway through robbing a bank when the police pull up outside. Takers turns that into a cartoon slot with a steel-plate frame, flashing jackpot counter and a cast of hapless crooks. The gang and their kit

Every symbol belongs to the heist:

• two robbers, one in a flat cap with a red-lined mask and one in a striped beanie
• a black-and-white prison shirt with a number on it
• a black eye mask, a torch, a stick of dynamite
• handcuffs and a ball and chain, for when the job goes wrong
• gold bars
• the money bag marked WILD, and a blue tile marked SCATTER

The money bag does the heavy lifting

The old write-up made one clear point: when the money bag appears, your chance of completing a line goes up. That is what a wild does. It stands in for the regular symbols, so a robber, a robber and a money bag count as three robbers on that line.

In the first screenshot, two money bags sit on reels one and four, surrounded by robbers and dynamite. In the next, a wild on the bottom row joins a line with the ball and chain for a small win.

The scatter works differently: it pays or triggers wherever it lands. The old page did not describe a scatter feature, so read the game's own paytable before you count on one.

Lines, bet and balance

Line markers 1 to 25 run down both sides. Total bet is the line bet times 25, so the screenshots show 100 at a bet of 4 and 25 at a bet of 1. Balance and a jackpot figure sit across the top. The Auto button repeats spins until you stop it.

In the last screenshot, several lines of prison shirts pay at the same time, yet the total win shown is 4 against a total bet of 25. Lots of lines lighting up does not mean you are ahead.
