Fire Rockets (XE88): classic fruit reels with a jackpot ladder

Fire Rockets is the XE88 take on the fruit machines that line casino floors in Las Vegas. You get the old-school reel set of sevens, bars and fruit, with a firework logo in the middle and a jackpot ladder that takes up the top third of the screen. The old site compared it to Shooting Stars, another fruit-and-jackpot title in the same app.

Sevens, bars and fruit

The reels are about as classic as it gets:

• red sevens
• single, double and triple BAR blocks
• cherries, lemons, grapes and watermelon
• a WILD, a JACKPOT symbol with a rocket on it, and a FREE SPIN symbol

The LINES counter at the top-left reads 25, and the line numbers run down both edges of the reels.

Reading the jackpot ladder

This is the part worth understanding before you play. The panel above the reels lists what a given number of Jackpot symbols pays, as a multiple of your bet:

Those figures come straight from the game's own panel in the screenshots. Nine Jackpot symbols on a 15-position grid is, as you would guess, extremely rare. Treat the top rungs as a long shot, not a target.

Wilds, free spins and the stake

The WILD fills in for the fruit and bar symbols on a line. The FREE SPIN symbol presumably starts a round of free games, but the old page gave no count or trigger, so check the in-game rules.

The bottom bar shows BET, TOTAL BET, Win and Balance. A bet of 3 gives a total of 75 and a bet of 1 gives 25, so the total is the bet times 25 lines. Since the jackpot ladder is quoted as "bet x", a larger bet makes those prizes larger, and makes every losing spin more expensive too.
